A protest march on the first day of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago by the “Poor People’s Army” drew 100 participants, one of whom was Jill Stein. Their announced intention was to make “citizen’s arrests” of Democrats attending the convention and to charge them with “crimes against humanity.” No citizen’s arrests were made. Thirteen people were arrested for throwing water bottles at police.
They burned U.S. and Israeli flags, proclaimed “long live the intifada” and “globalize the intifada”, and celebrated Hamas’s rockets.
